In the second podcast in the nonprofit strategic planning series, I discuss the discovery phase, arguably the most critical part of the entire strategic planning process. The discovery phase is where I collect stakeholder feedback and begin the data collection and analysis to inform the resulting strategic plan. Without this information, you’re just a group of people in a retreat trying to wordsmith a document that will probably never get used.
Listen to learn more about surveys, input calls, document audits, lifecycle assessments, and the situational analysis report that then informs the retreat and the strategic plan.
And just for fun… watch for the blooper where I take out my mic. HAHA!
My hope is that this series will be a resource to anyone and everyone in the nonprofit space wanting a strategic plan that doesn’t just sit on a proverbial shelf, but rather one that is stakeholder-informed and data-driven.
